Economic Development Policy

Economic development is one of the most important responsibilities of a civic
leader. Effective economic development requires an in-depth knowledge of a
region’s assets, a clear vision for the future and the ability to work as a team to
mobilize our assets to achieve our vision.

Today Jim Watson spoke to The Ottawa Rotary Club and set out a number of
