including but not limited to all content, sub-domains, any and all associated services including, but not limited to, e-mail received from www.jimwatson.ca (hereinafter referred to as the “Site”). Jim Watson through his agent Jim Watson for Mayor Campaign is the Owner of this Site and is hereinafter referred to as “the Owner” of the Site. The Site is offered subject to acceptance without modification of all of the terms and conditions contained herein and all other operating rules, policies and procedures that may be published and modified, without prior notice, from time to time on this site.
By using, visiting, or browsing the Site, you accept, without limitation or qualification, these Terms of Use and agree, without limitation, to the terms of our Privacy Statement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, please do not use our services or visit our Site. These Terms of Use constitute the entire agreement between the Owner and you, and supersedes all prior or contemporaneous agreements, representations, warranties, and understandings with respect to the Site, the content, products, or services provided by or through the Site, and the subject matter of these Terms of Use.
The Owner reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to change, modify, add, or remove portions of these terms at any time. The Owner does not endorse any of the merchandise, nor has the Owner taken any steps to confirm the accuracy or reliability of any of the information contained in such third-party sites or content. The Owner does not make any representations or warranties as to the security of any information (including, without limitation, credit card and other personal information) you might be requested to give any third party, and you hereby irrevocably waive any claim against the Owner with respect to such sites and third-party content. The Owner strongly encourages you to make whatever investigation you feel necessary or appropriate before proceeding with any online or offline transaction with any of these third parties. Neither the Owner nor its affiliates, employees, directors, officers, or agents shall be liable for any damages, including but not limited to direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your use of third-party material or third-party sites that are linked to this Site. No link to the Site may be framed to the extent that such frame contains any sponsorship, advertising, or other commercial text or graphics. All links to the Site must be to www.jimwatson.ca. Deep linking to internal pages of this Site is expressly prohibited without prior written consent from the Owner.
The Owner may link to other websites operated independently from the Site. The Owner has not reviewed, and cannot review, all of the material, including computer software, made available through the website and web pages to which www.jimwatson.ca links. By linking to such website or webpage, the Owner does not represent or imply that it endorses such website or webpage. Any user of independently operated links from www.jimwatson.ca is responsible for taking precautions necessary to protect yourself and your computer system from viruses, or any other harmful or destructive content. Linking to any such independently operated website is done at your own risk; we are not responsible for content, practices, or safety of any other website.
Political contributions are governed by the Municipal Elections Act, S.O. 1996, Chapter 32, in conjunction with the Municipal Act, S.O. 2001, Chapter 25, and the Good Government Act as incorporated into both the Municipal Election Act and the Municipal Act, both as amended from time to time. All individual and Corporate Donors are strongly reminded that it is your responsibility as a donor to ensure that you are not in violation of any of these rules prior to making a donation. Campaign donation rebates are governed by Ottawa City Council. Additional information concerning the rules governing rebates, and requirements to qualify for rebates can be found through the City of Ottawa website, or by calling the City of Ottawa election office at 613-580-2660.
The Site is as accurate and up-to-date as possible at all times. However, the information and materials on the Site may contain errors or inaccuracies. The Owner reserves the right in its sole discretion to remove or improve any information and/or materials on the Site and to suspend or deny access for maintenance, upgrades, improvements or corrections, without prior notice to you. Any dated information is published as of its date only.
You agree as a user of the Site not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to the Site, or to computer systems or networks connected to the Site through hacking, password or data mining, or any other means that are intended to circumvent security procedure. The Site and all of its contents including, but not limited to, articles, other text, photographs, illustrations, graphics, product names, designs, logos, and the collection, arrangement, and assembly of all content (collectively, "the Intellectual Property") are protected by copyright, trade-mark, and other laws of Canada. The Intellectual Property is the exclusive property of the Owner.
The copyright in the materials provided on the Site is owned by the Owner. Certain articles or materials within the website also may be separately copyrighted by others, as indicated. Subject to the following exception, none of the material contained in the Site may be copied, reproduced, distributed, republished, downloaded, displayed, posted or transmitted in any form or by any means including, but not limited to, electronic, mechanical, photocopying, recording or otherwise, without the prior written consent of the Owner. Site visitors may only view, copy, print and download the materials on the Site for personal, non-commercial use only, provided such materials are used for informational purposes only, and all copies, or portions thereof, include this copyright notice, and the source of the information is credited. The Owner may revoke any of the foregoing rights at any time. Upon termination of any rights granted hereunder, you must immediately destroy any downloaded or any printed materials. The trade-marks, service marks and logos ("Trade-marks") used and displayed on the Site are either registered or unregistered Trade-marks of the Owner or are used under license. Nothing on the Site shall be construed as granting, by implication, estoppel, or otherwise any license or right to use any Trade-mark displayed on the Site without the prior written consent of the Trade-mark owner. The name Jim Watson, Jim Watson for Mayor, Jim Watson for Mayor 2010 or any of the Trade-marks used on the Site may not be used in any way by you including in any advertising or publicity without the prior written consent of the Owner.
Your use of the Site does not provide you with ownership rights to any Intellectual Property viewed through the Site nor does it waive any of the Owners rights in such information and materials. All rights reserved.
The viewing, printing or downloading of any content, graphic, form, or document from the Site grants you only a limited, non-exclusive license for use solely by you for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not modify, copy, distribute, transmit, display, perform, reproduce, publish, license, create derivative works from, transfer, or offer for sale any information contained on, or obtained from, the Site. WE ASSUME NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY FOR:

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless the Owner, officers, directors, employees, and agents, from and against any claims, actions, or demands, including, but not limited to, reasonable legal and accounting fees, alleging or resulting from your use of the Site or your breach of these Terms of Use. The Owner shall provide notice to you promptly of any such claim, suit, or proceeding.

BY SUBMITTING YOUR NAME TO THE CAMPAIGN DATABASE, YOU HEREBY AUTHORIZE THE PUBLIC DISPLAY OF YOUR NAME ALONGSIDE OTHER ENDORSERS OF JIM WATSON FOR MAYOR, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO A WEBSITE LIST, EMAIL BLAST, NEWSPAPER ADVERTISEMENT, RADIO OR TELEVISION PROMOTION.

You agree that any issue or dispute arising out of or in connection with your use of the Site, intellectual property, the Terms of Use, the Privacy Statement, or any matter concerning the Owner shall be governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada. You agree that any such issue or dispute shall be brought exclusively in the provincial courts of Ontario, Canada. If any provision of the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement is found to be invalid by any court having competent jurisdiction, the invalidity of such provision shall not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of the Terms of Use and Privacy Statement, which shall remain in full force and effect.
By using the Site, you agree to comply with all applicable laws and regulations of Canada. The material provided on the Site is protected by law including, but not limited to, Canadian copyright and trade-mark law and international treaties. The Owner makes no representation that materials contained in the Site are appropriate or available for use in other locations and access to them from territories where their contents are illegal is prohibited.
