With only 75 days to go until Ottawa votes on October 22nd, my campaign to be re-elected as Mayor of Ottawa is in full swing. I am pleased to provide an update from the campaign trail and highlight #TeamWatson’s incredible accomplishments.
Since I officially registered and started my re-election campaign on May 1st, I have been inspired to see so many enthusiastic supporters pledge their support and join my team. From knocking on doors with me, making phone calls, and generously donating to my campaign, my supporter and volunteers have been the backbone of this campaign. I am very thankful for their amazing work and dedication!
Over the past three months, we have been engaging residents in all corners of our beautiful city, and the message I have heard at the door is very clear: Ottawa is on the right track. Residents agree that we need to continue to work together to keep our city on the path of stability, certainty and growth.
The response I have received from residents while canvassing, at community events and online has been overwhelmingly positive. Ottawa residents are proud of their city and the progress we’ve made in the last two terms. They want to re-elect a Mayor that will keep the positive momentum moving forward!
