Jim Watson is currently looking for energetic and dedicated youth to work on his re-election campaign for Mayor of Ottawa 2018-2022. This Internship Program is targeted towards students aged 17 to 24 interested in developing their practical campaign management skills, including coordinating door-to-door canvassing, running phone banks, database management, campaign communications, event organization, volunteer management, and special projects.
The Campaign Internship Program is on a volunteer basis and will run for 12 weeks, from mid June to the end of August, with interns participating in at least 10 hours of campaign activity per week. This could include working in Jim Watson's Campaign Headquarters, acting as a canvass team lead, or spearheading our campaign's participation in festivals and other events.
Click here to complete the application form and tell us why you would be an ideal candidate for Jim Watson's Campaign Internship Program. Questions about the internship can be directed to Jessica Early at Jessica@JimWatson.ca. Applications are due on June 13, 2018 at midnight.
We look forward to hearing from you!
Please note that this program may count towards high school community service hours. Team Watson would be happy to verify the volunteer hours of participants, though consulting your school administration is recommended.
